    Technical aid Empty Technical aid

Post by Aidan Airna October 18th 2014, 8:28 am

    Ok so like humm.

I'm trying to learn the whole tool set thing, and I down loaded some plug ins.

But they are in what's called a Zip file, and I have to move the dot files from them, and place them into the nwn2 tool set install folder or some thing.

So like humm how do I open the Zip folders, and get to the dot files that are in them.

Unfortunately, I lack the time to teach someone the toolset. You'll probably have better luck with your question's here:

Not so much the tool set I'm looking for help with. For I'm fallowing this video guid and the other ones she has made.

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I2iVuFHibZs

What I need help with is figuring out how to open Zip folders safely.
Then moving the files from the folders, into the NWN2 tool
Set folder. So that way I can use the plug ins.

Never less thank you for the link, and I'll look into it.

You basically need either WinZip, WinRar, or 7zip (7zip is the best). They're free archiving programs that should allow you to extract files from a zip file. Once you've opened the zip file in the archiving program you can pretty much interact with the contained files as though they're part of the normal file structure.

You can grab 7zip here. It's free, open source, and relatively unobtrusive as programs go. Just download and install the version appropriate to your operating system and you're good to go. You may have to restart your computer before file extensions are associated properly.
